It is since September 2018 onwards that I was trusted by Principal VESCOP. to lead the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. At our department all the faculty and students have been working towards the common vision to establish our department as a renowned entity at the university, state and national level in terms of academic excellence and research. I look forward to equipping the department with state of the art facilities and making it a center of excellence in research and innovations. 

The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry started its journey in teaching along with the inception of the organization i.e. 2007 but research endeavours started  from 2012 onwards with Approval for M. Pharm course with an intake of 15 students. Recently in 2018, a PhD program has also commenced with an intake of 6 students. Till date  54 students have graduated M. Pharm program and one has registered for a PhD program. The department has raised approximately Rs. 5,35,000 /- as research funding and published 45 research and review papers. Our Department has not only been involved in outcome based teaching of chemistry subjects with appropriate pedagogical manner and use of ICT but also committed to boost the interest of students across the streams, programs, institutes and even states by conducting activity entitled Chemtastic.
