1. Where is the location of College?

Ans -  The college is located at Hashu Advani Memorial Complex, Collector’s
Colony, Chembur Colony, Chembur(E),  Mumbai – 400074.

2. What is the last year cut of B. Pharm. admission (2020-2021) ?

Ans: The last year cut-off was 75.61 Percentile

3. Whether hostel and canteen facility is available?

Ans:  Well-furnished and spacious hostel for girls and boys with capacity of 4 boys and 4 girls(Pharmacy only), are available with facilities like hygienic food, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, on call medical help and 24x7 securities.

4. Highlights of the institute?

●        The students of VESCOP have been consistently among top few students at B.Pharm exam of University of Mumbai.

●         The college has been awarded as Best Industry Linked Pharmacy Institute in 2018 in AICTE-CII survey and has been consistency securing platinum ranking in every cycle.

●        VESCOP has consistently maintained its position in pharmacy category of NIRF-ranking, Ministry of education, Govt. of India in Rank Band of 51- 75. This is an honour for such young institute to get enlisted among the premier institutes. its current position is 63rd in Pan India among pharmacy institutes.

●        Till date the VESCOP has received grants of about Rupees Two Crore Seven Lakhs Five Thousand from Government agencies and industries for various research projects.

●             VESCOP maintains a strong network of alumni.

●        The institute has received several Gold medals and silver medal at State level research convention, “Avishkar” which is conducted by Government of Maharashtra. VESCOP has received Championship trophy in Pharmacy & medicine category & pure science category in the current year in `Avishkar’ competition of University of Mumbai

●        To strengthen Industry- Institute linkages, the college has signed MOUs with Six reputed companies including Procter & Gamble, Verodox Pharma, Cerelia Nutritech, Adroit Biomed, B & B Pharma, Boolani Engineering Corporation.

●        To augment our research activities and take them to the next level, Dr. Mangal Nagarsenkar, Former Prof. Bombay College of Pharmacy, has joined the VESCOP family as a research advisor.

●        Six patents have been filed by the college till date. Till date 170 papers have been published by the faculty members in various National & International Journals with good impact factor.

●        VESCOP has set up an Institute Innovation Cell (IIC) in the year 2018 as per the directives of Ministry of Education, Government of India, and we are glad to share that our college has received 4-star rating in the very first cycle after launching IIC.

●        VES campus that comprises of streams such as Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Polytechnic, Arts, Science, Commerce and Law has a defined vision of establishing an Incubation Centre in the campus and the construction of a 7 storied building to set up the Incubation Centre annexed to Pharmacy College building is in progress.

●        National Centre of Quality Management awarded the College with top ranks in two consecutive years, 2018 and 2019 in the contest of “Best Educational Quality Enhancement Team”.

●        The VESCOP alumni association was registered in year 2012 under Bombay Public Trust act 1950 & Society’s act1860.

●        Till date VESCOP has successfully guided 534 students for DLLE (Development of Lifelong learning and Extension) University of Mumbai.

●          VESCOP launched the unique Campus to Corporate transition program (C2C) in 2015 to make the students Industry-ready, and till date has successfully conducted several sessions.

●       VESCOP has a vision of inculcating Innovation and Entrepreneurship aptitude among the students. Many activities are regularly conducted to hone these skills, namely journal club, poster club, Ignition, Technology Showcase and Chemtastic etc.

●        VESCOP keeps abreast with latest in the field of Pharmacy by routinely holding seminars, workshops and symposium. Till date VESCOP has conducted 19 national and state level technical seminar.

●          The College has started add-on course in Regulatory Affairs since 2018 for both B. Pharm and M. Pharm students. This year add-on certificate course was conducted  in Artificial Intelligence for healthcare from 24th June 2021 to 1st July 2021 .

●       Rotaract Club of VESCOP was established in the year 2016 and in very short time, it has successfully completed more than 40 projects.

5. Whether college provides campus placements facility?

Ans:  Yes.

6. What is average package for B. Pharm / M. Pharm students after placements?

Ans:   Approximately Rs. 3,00,000

7. What is Industry Exposure to students?

Ans: Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy works towards building core competencies of students by providing skilful training in leading industry The college encourages industry visits in every semester to observe and understand modern infrastructure, manufacturing processes, shop floor activities and good practices of Pharma industries to enhance students thinking abilities for the right  professional orientation. At the end of every semester VI, students are deputed for one month summer training in the pharma industry/hospital. A well-elaborated training report is collected from each student on completion of the training. Students have undergone visits and in-plant trainings in companies like Maneesh Pharma, Rubicon Labs, Cipla Ltd., Meyer Organics Pvt. Ltd., Macleods Pharmaceuticals Ltd., ACG Associated Capsules Pvt Ltd., etc.

11. What is procedure to avail loan facility?

Ans -  College will provide the fee structure to the student provided he is the bonafide student of our college.

14. What is the minimum attendance required for appearing for final exams?

Ans - University Ordinance 0.6086 is mandatory for all colleges affiliated to University of Mumbai.

15. Is there any health care facility for students?

Ans - Yes, various health care programmes, seminars and camps are arranged in the college and also free health check-ups for students and staff is conducted in the college to promote the healthcare of the student and staff. There is first aid cum sick room available in the ground floor.

First aid kit is maintained to handle emergency.
